Cultural Issues With Different Generations Cultural diversity represents a scheme of behaviors and beliefs that acknowledges and regards the existence of diverse groups of individuals within a society/organization, accepts and values the socio-cultural distinctions existing between them, and facilitates and encourages their ongoing contribution to the society/organization within an all-encompassing cultural context, empowering all societal/organizational members. Valuing and understanding cultural diversity form the solutions to defying racism. Every person needs to have the freedom to explore his/her respective identity's and culture's uniqueness, whilst simultaneously endeavoring to understand cultural diversity existing in our globalized world. A denial of cultural expression implies limiting the demonstration of distinctive views regarding life and inter-generational knowledge transfer (Lovely, 2012). Research indicates that absence of cultural, racial, and gender cohesion arises out of stereotyping, mistrust, and an increasing number of intra-cultural language and conversation issues. When these issues aren't focused on, it can result in the inability to support ideas, take unified action, and arrive at agreements on decisions. In the academic/educational context, it is highly essential to have a wide variety of diverse student groups in schoolrooms. Achieving this in classroom settings will help avoid the issue of child unawareness, by actually enlightening them about different things happening around them through interactions with individuals they can know or forge friendships with (Sarah, n.d).
I believe and recommend the development of interest in acquiring knowledge on different cultures as a great means to understand cultural diversity. One may achieve this by conducting research on different cultures' traditions and history. This may be backed by forging friendships with people from different cultural backgrounds, which will facilitate better analysis of their beliefs. Further, self-awareness through working on one's own beliefs, personal biases, and values may be a valuable component to aid research/action.

A survey conducted in 2008 revealed that 76% of newly-hired teachers reported inclusion of diversity classroom teaching in their training sessions; however, only 39% of these respondents believed this training was helpful. Multiculturalism training received by several incoming teachers can function as a strong basis for more exhaustive training in cultural competency.
